Hey Lola Foundation Brings Rescue Dogs to New York to Make Pet Adoption More Visible, Connected, and Human
New York, NY — June 2026 — Hey Lola Foundation, the social impact initiative behind HeyLola.co, will bring rescue dogs to New York to show how technology can support real communities, real shelters, and real adoption journeys.
The activation will take place on Tuesday, June 9, at the Javits Center in New York. In collaboration with Jersey City Animal Shelter, the Hey Lola Foundation activation will feature three adoptable dogs: Kallie, Koney, and Breeze.
The goal is simple: to make technology feel human, useful, and accessible.
For many people, new technology can feel abstract. Digital identity, records, and online donations can sound distant from everyday life. Hey Lola Foundation is using a very real, emotional use case to change that: helping shelter dogs get visibility, support, and adoption opportunities.
Through the activation, attendees will be able to discover the dogs, learn more about their stories, scan QR codes, and explore how digital tools could help shelters manage visibility, donations, records, and community engagement in the future.
The initiative also introduces the idea of a digital identity layer for pets, including profiles that can connect information such as shelter details, adoption interest, vaccination records, microchip data, travel documentation, and verified ownership over time.

The activation is part of Hey Lola Foundation’s broader mission to support shelters, rescue organizations, dog parents, and animal-friendly communities through technology, storytelling, and partnerships.
Hey Lola Foundation is currently self-funded. Any donations generated through the activation will be used to support the participating shelter and the dogs involved.
