HeyLola Foundation Brings Rescue Dogs to New York to Make Pet Adoption More Visible, Connected, and Human

In collaboration with Jersey City Animal Shelter and ETHGlobal, HeyLola Foundation showed how technology can support real shelters, real dogs and real adoption journeys.

New York, NY — June 2026 — HeyLola Foundation, the social impact initiative behind HeyLola.co, brought rescue dogs to New York to show how technology can support real communities, real shelters, and real adoption journeys. The activation took place on Tuesday, June 9, at the Javits Center in New York. In collaboration with Jersey City Animal Shelter, the HeyLola Foundation activation featured three adoptable dogs: Kallie, Koney, and Breeze. The goal is simple: to make technology feel human, useful, and accessible. For many people, new technology can feel abstract. Digital identity, records, and online donations can sound distant from everyday life. HeyLola Foundation is using a very real, emotional use case to change that: helping shelter dogs get visibility, support, and adoption opportunities. Through the activation, attendees could discover the dogs, learn more about their stories, and explore how digital tools could help shelters manage visibility, donations, records, and community engagement in the future. The initiative also introduces the idea of a digital identity layer for pets, including profiles that can connect information such as shelter details, adoption interest, vaccination records, microchip data, travel documentation, and verified ownership over time. The activation is part of HeyLola Foundation's broader mission to support shelters, rescue organizations, dog parents, and animal-friendly communities through technology, transparent on-chain sponsorships, and partnerships. > Technology only matters when it solves a real problem. With HeyLola Foundation, we are starting with rescue dogs because everyone understands the need. Shelters need visibility, adopters need trust, and animals need better chances. This is a human way to show how technology can create real-world value. — Silvia Mogas, Founder of HeyLola.co and HeyLola Foundation ## About HeyLola Foundation HeyLola Foundation is the social impact initiative of HeyLola.co.
